JS
JS Tan is a PhD candidate in the international development group at MIT DUSP where he is part of the Political Economy Lab. His research interests include the political economy of innovation, industrial policy, and cloud computing. He completed his bachelor's in computer science at Brown University and his master's of arts and science at the MIT Media Lab. Previously, he also worked as a software engineer at Microsoft. His work can be found here. He writes a newsletter called Value Added.
